Margaret Manning was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Non-Hodkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer, in March of 2009. It is a rare form of cancer caused by chemicals and genetic predisposition. She and her family were surprised, as she had always had wonderful health. Margaret felt tired and went into her doctor and mentioned a swollen lymph gland under her arm. The doctor discovered many swollen glands and made arrangements for a biopsy to be performed.

Prognosis and Treatment Options

The doctors told Margaret and her husband that the standard course of treatment was aggressive chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. Not only would Margaret be horribly ill from the side effects of these conventional treatments, but these treatments would only extend her life possible 3 years.

Margaret and Larry decided not to accept death as an option. They prayed for strength and wisdom, and were guided to the Burzynski Clinic in Houston Texas. Dr. Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D., is an internationally recognized physician and scientist, who has been treating patients with terminal cancer for over 30 years. He has developed an alternative cancer treatment which involves targeted gene therapy and Antineoplastons. Rapid Improvement

The initial pet- scan in March showed that Margaret was in the last stages of the illness. The most recent pet-scan revealed that the tumors are either disappearing or shrinking. The doctors are very encouraged and they have great hopes for her complete recovery.
